Color image encryption based on joint permutation and diffusion

Image encryption plays an essential role in the community of image security. Most existing approaches adopt a permutation–diffusion scheme to permute pixel positions and change values separately. One limitation this is that it has high risk being cracked. To solve problem, we propose approach jointly permutates diffuses (JPD) pixels color for encryption. First, 4D hyperchaotic system with two positive Lyapunov exponents used generate sequence almost all procedures. enhance security, plain image’s information introduced system’s initial parameters. Then, diffuse images jointly. More specifically, index matrices determine which will be permuted diffused one mask matrix determines how are generated by sequence. We test proposed JPD several popular images. Experimental results security analysis demonstrate capable resisting various types attacks. Moreover, can accelerate process.
